Unable to upload images through front end

I am the superuser for our website using Joomla 3.9 and Phoca Gallery 4.3.10.

I can upload photos through the backend but I am trying to set up my gallery so that other users can upload to the gallery, however even I can't upload through the frontend, I'm not getting any error messages, I am set up with upload rights for the categories and also owner for some of them. The front end module is showing. Please can someone give me further advice, I have read through the user guide several times so must be missing something

do you use UCP Single File Upload or Multiple File Upload?
I have just tested the Single File Upload with expected results. See image:






Joomla 3.9 and Phoca Gallery 4.3.10.

I have tried both multiple and single via ucp without success do I think a setting must be wrong

Thanks for your reply, most of my settings mirrored yours, those that didn't, I have changed. Unfortunately that still hasn't resolved the issue. I am still learning Joomla and so I suspect something else is wrong. I appreciate your assistance.

Further update, I can create subcategories in the frontend UCP

Hi,
be aware the limitation of image sizes. (Max size 3.00MB)
and Max. Resolution 3072x2304px

Yes I'm aware of the image sizes, they load ok in the backend. The images are all well within the tolerances.

Hi, yes I'm puzzled too... I don't even get any error message when I use single image upload
On Multiple File Upload, I just get:

Count of not uploaded (failed) images: 1

Is there anyone from Phoca who can access my site if I give them permission
