Feature request - order quantity max stock

Hello,
can you add a option so that customers can not put more quantity in the basket then that are in stock.
currently the customer can put in every quantity and put it in the basket.
if you go to checkout, you get notified.
" This product is not available in the desired quantity or it is not in stock."

so the customer needs to adjust the quantity but he/she does not know the stock level. for that you need to go to the article again and see the stock level.
it would be nice to prevent this, or alternative, show the amount of stock available as part of the message.

something like this.
"This product is not available in the desired quantity: current stock quantity is ## "
where ## will be the current stock level. that way the customer knows the stock level and can quickly adjust the quantity without leaving the checkout page, lookup product, etc..

if possible add both as a option to set (enable / disable).
