Feature request: form field for male/female . other

Post by Alexander »

Dear Jan

In German there is a difference if you want to address a man or a woman politely, e.g. Sehr geehrter Herr XY and Sehr geehrte Frau XY. It would help a lot if one of these days maybe a radio button for male/female would be available in the PhocaCart registration. Hmmmmm, now that I think of it, maybe with the LGBT laws there should also be a male/female and "other" radio button.

Kind regards

Alexander

Hi, do you mean the checkout or the registration. Because when you register on Joomla! site, the register form is created by Joomla! itself.

Yes, there will be unlimited options needed when we are speaking about "Geschlecht" field, only two or three is not enough today. Because even "other" value can be a problem for someone.

Hi Jan
I mean the Phoca Cart Checkout, where you can edit your personal data. In the form fields you can eg. ad the academic title. And yes, it is getting rather complicated with the many different genders nowadays. Maybe one day one botton is enough: "WHATEVER" but then the German language has to invent some new "Personalpronomen" etc. ;)
