No posts are visible in the frontend

Post by Mr.Goldwing »

HI,

we have nearly 100 posts in our guestbook. I saw many of them in the past. But today, after confirming new posts, I suddenly can't see any post in our frontend. Does anybody know what to do. The guestbook is given free in the backend.

I'm using Version 2.0.7 in Joomla 2.5.27 and php V5.5.20

Are the post in backend? When you display the source code of frontend - of your page where guestbook is displayed - can you find them there? Did you ask your webhosting operator if something changed on the server

Hi Jan,
Yes, all posts are dipslayed in the backend.
No, The posts are not icluded in the source code of frontend.
No, until now I've not asked my webhosting operator for changes on the server. I'll do it in the next days but I don't expect any soloution because I have a second site on base of the same Joomla version with the same geustbook version of phoca. There I can see all posts. I've copared the settings of both and I can't see any differences.

Hi, when using Akismet, the post will be not added or will be not published - so in fact it does not have any effect to old posts.

If they are visible in backend, test if all of them are published and see the Options:

- if displaying of posts is enabled
- if the guestbook does not work as report component (in such case, posts are not displayed there)
