Cannot upload INDD file type (Adobe InDesign)

Post by Earthson »

Hello,

I've seen several posts about uploading file types, and I do understand that I need to add them to the "allowed file types". But, I'm not sure what the text actually needs to read. I have this: {indd=application/x-indesign} but it doesn't work. I just mimicked Adobe Photoshop's text.

Anyway, can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Hmmm - well, I've since discovered that application/x-indesign does work...but it only will upload a small file (less than 1 MB). When I try to upload a 5Mb file, it doesn't work. I get a message UPLOAD ERROR 406. Any idea what that means?

I'm also getting errors when I upload other files. I uploaded a TIFF and a message came up saying to "check file size". But, the file did upload into the directory?! Very weird.

Anyway, I checked the size restrictions in Phocadownload, as well as in my Joomla server settings. They both seem ample.

I have resorted to FTP to put my larger files on the site. That works fine, but I would prefer to just have it work as it should. Great component...just this one thing. Thx.

did you check the php settings too (php.ini) ... paramters:

I don't know the names of these parameters, but there are two, one for maximum of upload file and one for maximum of post data ...
