Links corrupt

Post by Lorenzo Castellan »

Sorry for my english .....
After years of Joomla I find myself before a really strange problem. A customer site hosted, latest versions of Joomla 3.x Phoca Download. What happens is that any files managed by the component repository not download more! This opens a page with strange symbols here is a esempioin attached. I do not know what to do, I have also written to the maintainer who wanted to be a super user account to control but I was not yet responded.
Someone has already happened? What can be attributed the problem?
Thank you all.

Do you know if the links are still correct ?
What is the adress it opens the site in ?
But it kinda looks like the link is correct but the code gets interpreted the wrong way
Is the server fully updated ?
does it use the newest php version ?

I am having the same problem.
I updated to 2.19 and it did not solve the issue.
Links that worked fine for years are now corrupt.
Running Joomla 2.5.14

Hi, I see.

What happen, when you disable SEF?

Did you ask webhosting operator, if there are no limits on the server

Dear Jan, thanks for your help.
I disabled the SEF as you asked, but unfortunately nothing has changed .....
I did not understand what limits the configuration you mean but I can guarantee that until last Sunday everything worked perfectly. I have not made changes and I did not do updates. Now I have the same problem occurred on two other websites operated by the same webhosting ....

If you need any info from me as well, I would be happy to try to provide it. I also need a solution to this problem. It is occurring on multiple sites I manage.

Hi, I have the same problem after updating to joomla 3.3.6.
The pdf-file will be shown, if I open each file and click on "direct link". The proble is, thas a white window with the link is open afterwards instead of the website. Perhaps this will help the phoca-team to solve the problem.

I tried to set up direct links but in my case, nothing has changed. Perhaps this can serve Phoca team.

Hi, did you ask your webhosting provider which changes there were done (when it was working before)
