Only code is showing after using download editor button

Post by hvdmeer »

Hi! I've been using Phoca download for a while now and today I wanted to put a download link in an article. So I downloaded both plugins and enabled them.
But after getting the link into the article is see only the code showing up in the front end. I have gzip and cache enabled so to test it I turned them off but still no luck. Checked in Chrome, FF and IE. Here is what is see in my article.

Code: Select all

{phocadownload view=file|id=69|text=Inschrijfformulier|target=b}
I've been searching for what might be wrong but I can't seem to find the problem.
I use Phoca download 3.0.6 on Joomla 3.3.6.

It seems when I have a problem the solution is always just in front staring at me...

At the component it says Phoca Download 3.0.6 but at the Extensions - manage it says 3.0.0. If I check for upgrades it also says 3.0.6.
Phoca Download Button Plugin 3.0.6.
Phoca Download Plugin 3.0.6.

Both plugins are active.

Hi,
versions are ok. How do you create your articles? Do you use an external component such as e.g. K2?

I try to use not too much extensions so it's just the Joomla core article manager.
I tried to link a menu item to a single file, I get the page where the article is visible but not clickable. As if the rights are not correct but it's approved and set to public.

Do you receive error messages if you enable error reporting or debug mode?

Hi Benno, I tried to get the PHP error working but it seems if I put the code in .htaccess nothing happens. So I guess my host disabled this option.
My quickfix was to use the direct Phoca Download link to the file and made a HREF-link.

Are there anymore options to find out what is going wrong here>

Yes, I read that topic before starting a new one. That's why I already told I have both plugins installed and activated. 8)

Oh well, after this weekend I can remove the file so the problem will not be there anymore. It is strange though.
