Maps not showing in backend or in articles

Post by a2zcs »

Hello,
Everything was working fine, but then the maps disappeared from within articles and when trying to recreate the maps noticed that no map would come up in the admin area when clicking on the "Set Coordinates" button either. Uninstalled both the component and the plugin, reinstalled but still does not show up.
Recently upgraded to J3.4, which may or may not be the cause of this.

Also found where someone had issues with a secure site (ssl), this has also been recently done with this site. Enabled "Enable SSL API Upload" with no better response.

Just found another of my sites that is on a secure server, but has NOT been updated to J3.4 (J3.3.6) and it is having the same problem.

I'm guessing Google may have made a change in the API or something.

Any help would be great!
Thanks

Hi, hmm, testing now Joomla! 3.4 and Phoca Maps and all is working Ok. I get the maps in Maps or Marker view in administration, the same in frontend

When you try to look at javascript errors ( https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... -conflicts ), do you get any errors there?

Hi Jan,
Thanks for the reply.

The Firebug console is reporting the following two lines when I click on the "Set Coordinates" button in the component.

2 - Blocked loading mixed active content "http://www.google.com/jsapi"
X - ReferenceError: google is not defined (then at the far right side is: https://hpmaine.com/administrator/index ... e&type=map)

This problem seems to be only happening on sites that are on secure servers. SSLs installed

Thanks!

Yes, SSL is checked off in joomla options and an SSL certificate is installed. on both sites that I've got issues on.

Hmm, when you are in admin where it occurs, try to look at the html code and check if the link to google maps begin with http or https

Hi Jan,
I could not find any url in the source in the admin area of the first site, however on the 2nd site that I'm having the same problem on, ncmamaine.com, the source in the front shows " <script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi" type="text/javascript"></script>". I verified that the SSL option is enabled in phoca maps on that site as well.
