Subcategories description in category section

Hi, I would like to know how I can see the subcategory description in the category view, because I just see the main category, its description and the name of the subcategories following of the number of files within.
For example:
Animals
Lorem ipsum...

- Lion (3)
The lion is one of the five big cats...

- Giraffe (1)
The giraffe is an African even-toed ungulate mammal...

Right now I just see the following example.

Animals
Lorem ipsum...

- Lion (3)

- Giraffe (1)
