How does the License part work?

Hello,

how does the License part work?
I checked the documentation but i can't find anything about it.

At the File settings, when you add a file:

What should be entered at License? GPL3.0 or any free text is allowed?

Then at License link: where should it point to? the path to the txt file which contains the license? like /domain/folder/gpl30.txt ?

The Confirm License dropdown is not working, although not showing any option to choose from.

Can you please give some help on this?

Hi,
you need to set up a license here:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Download --> Control Panel --> Licenses
