Download Large Files

Good Day

I need to force downloads of MP3 files, I don't want to people to stream them (I have application to stream them at the same time).

My biggest problem is that the MP3 files are quite big (50MB+++) if I use a normal PHP script just to force a download it will fail at some point. I'm looking for a joomla addon that would help me manage file downloads. But I don't want an interface that shows download... I would just want a button so that people can click and download my files.

Is Phoca Download able to help me with this?

That's the website am currently working on and as you can see I just need a "link" for my MP3 file download so the users can download the file to listen instead of streaming it.

Yes this is possible with Phoca Download Component.
From insite an article you can use Phoca Download Plugin or a simple textlink to download your files.

Alright I made it work... But I have no idea why it does the same thing as with my own script... After a while it "FAILS" is there a log with Phoca Download that I could use maybe to find out what's happening? If it's my connection? Or the server that disconnect my download?

By the way I'm on a Slow Connection... So is it related to that? Or because my connection is unstable?

Yes, there is a logging system inside Phoca Download.:

But I fear, in your case it's not very helpfull (to find errors), because it logs only performed downloads, not broken.
So, you need to see the server error logs from your provider, I think...
