Hi,
I use for some times now Phoca gallery (great tools) and "Phoca Gallery Slideshow bxSlider Module" on my site. One thing I didn't find is : is it possible to have multiple gallery configured to be the source of pictures?
thanks

Re: "Phoca Gallery Slideshow bxSlider Module" - multi galler
Hi,
I already read the documentation, but Iwas asking if it's possible to use multiple gallery instead of creating a gallery only for slideshow (my pictures would be in double if I create 2 categories).

Hi,
you can use an existing Phoca Gallery category or you can create a new category for displaying images with Phoca Gallery Slideshow bxSlider Module. But you can select only one category.
Kind regards,
Benno

Therefore I posted the link to the above article.Go to settings of the slideshow module (e.g. Phoca Gallery Slideshow bxSlider module: Extensions - Module Manager - click on selected module) and set the Phoca Gallery category ID from where the images will be taken to be displayed in the slideshow area.
Kind regards,

I think we don't understand each other
I have my pictures in a phocagallery folder and subfolders (one for each category). If I create a new category slideshow, I need to double copy my pictures (one for its initial category and one for the slideshow one)? or can I create a category slideshow, where I import all my pictures without copy them? In others words, can a picture be part of 2 differents categories without being upload two times?
Hope I'm clear!

Hi,
What do you mean with 'phocagallery folder & subfolders'? FTP folders on your server or Phoca Gallery categories?
Sorry, I still don't understand...
Kind regards,
Benno
Yes, I think so too. And I still don't understand..I think we don't understand each other
Does this mean, you have only one image in each category (subcategory)?I have my pictures in a phocagallery folder and subfolders (one for each category).

No, several pictures in différents folders, and yes all my pictures are in a hierarchy of folders, all in a main phoca one on the FTP (same hierarchy as the categories one).Benno wrote:Hi,Yes, I think so too. here is the FTP folders:
here is the category hierarchy:
All I wanted was that the slidehow could use several folders/categories as source of pictures.

Hi,
aha, now I understand..
but unfortunately the answer is the same as in post #4:
1.) Create a category 'bxslider' and load up the images you want to display from the different folders to this category.
2.) Unpublish this category. BxSlider will find it, but it will be not displayed in frontend.
Kind regards,
Benno

So you need to do a work around:But you can select only one category.
