Greetings,

I am running Joomla J3.4.4 with Phoca Download 3.0.6 and the Download Finder Plugins for Categories and Files.

The plugins are allowing Joomla to correctly index file view descriptions for the download. However, if I click on the title to go to the file view I get the following error...

You have no rights to access this category

I have also tried setting the plugin to category view with the same result.

I am logged in to the frontend as a super user. I have experimented with having everything set to public (category, file, menu item). The link that finder is presenting seems to want a menu item tied to a single file rather than pointing me to the file view for an item within a phoca category menu item. If I publish a menu item to the single file view I can see everything correctly. If the file is part of the category and I click on the link from finder I cannot get the file view without the error message.

One last note, I ultimately want to have downloads available to registered users but still have the files visible. I believe I have everything set correctly for that.

Thank you for your reply but no. I have done everything with permissions including setting everything to public and trying to access the files from search via a logged in super user.

They are accessible with the permissions set the way I want as long as I go at them from a category view or if I have a menu item pointing directly at the item. But if I click on a smart search response to go to a file view I get the permissions issue every time.

Hi, what happen, when you upgrade to Phoca Download version 3.1.0 and Joomla! 3.4.5?

I swear I poured over the entire forum before my initial post. My answer is here...

I had the "Display File View" option in the "Categories and Category View" section of the options set to "no".
Set this to "yes", purge finder and re-index and it works fine.

I stumbled across the answer in this post this morning. viewtopic.php?t=33871

I am not sure what I would change except maybe a footnote in the download smart search (finder) plugin docs?
