Items deleted without specific action

Hello Jan,

New PhocaGuestbook installation.
Joomla 3.4.5
PhocaGuestbook : 3.0.4

This could be like a joke or naive topic from Joomla beginner, but it's not, I'm using on other Joomla version PhocaGuestbook for several years, as webmater.

Yesterday
Step1: installation and set parameters
Step2: creation of 1st item in front-end
The item is strored in back-end (and suprisingly displayed). I have set parameter for moderation by administrator.
Step3: change date of the item in back-end

Today
No more items in database

How this could be possible? No other person connected than me.

I can send you in personal message a Word document with print screens and administrator access.

Hi, did you check the database directly, e.g. per phpMyAdmin

Check it and see if the items are there or not.

Anyway, Phoca Guestbook does not include any automatic script (even such cannot exists under php) which can delete the items or database, so I would say, if the items are not in database, there was another function (not phoca, not joomla, not php) which could do this - human or cron action, really no idea

Yes I checked the phocaguestbook_items table in phpmyadmin.
The website is b&b activity and is very simple, no special cron task.
Can I send you admin ids for a quick look at parameters?

Jan,
Maybe a clue : in Parameters/General I have set to YES the parameter to require administrator validation for message display.
Despite this, after submitting in front-end the message was immediately displayed, without validation.

Hi, so does it mean, the items are not set in database table? Then this means, they were not added.

Hi Jan,

Many thanks for your help.
I confirm the message is displayed in front-end.
I confirm the message is stored in "phocaguestbook_items" table.
I received 2 messages in my mail box about your new posted message (why 2?).
I have kept a print screen of the table with your id address.

but

after a while, all messages are deleted, table "phocaguestbook_items" empty (except id=1 of course).
I have no explanation.
Let's wait some hours.

I mention again, that despite appropriate parameter the message is displayed, but shouldn't before admin validation.

Hi, hmmm, then it seems everything with storing the items is Ok but then I really thing, some automated script can delete them. I cannot imagine any other method. When it is stored in database and then it is deleted, then:

- it can be deleted by somebody manually
- or it is deleted by automated script

For now I cannot imagine any other way - maybe some protection tool, really no experiences with such behavior

I really don't understand what is going on, maybe a conflict with template's Warp framework.
