No map shown in frontend (except safari)

Post by achimkraemer »

Hi, first of all thanks for the wonderful Extension.
I set up a ssl-site with maps showing in the content.
Now the maps are not shown any more in all browsers except safari.

Please have a look at:

https://evdiak.de/index.php/de/altenhilfe
and:
https://evdiak.de/index.php/de/tagungshotel/th-umgebung

Obviously the problem appeared with updating to Joomla 3.3.6.

I would be graetful for any idea solving this problem.
Thanks, Achim

Hi !

If I may jump this topic even after a while, but I do have the same problem.
I have a map displayed on the title page, a one pager, in full width. But since recently it is not showing on Opera and Firefox, yet on Safari it does.
However, I can get it to display if I set the map width to 800 px or below ! Strange.... :x
Above that value the said browsers just show a grey area but all google links and controls are there and fully functional !?

Any ideas ? Is it something with the newest browser updates ?

Would be much obliged for an answer. :)

Ooops, I'm sorry ! Thanks for the reply...

It's on http://goldstein01.secotrust.eu/index.php/de/ or by your choice the english version http://goldstein01.secotrust.eu/index.php/en/
And my Firefox version is the most recent 43.0.4.

Thanks for looking into it...

Regards
Mike

I have changed to the only other template compatible with the contents which is also from Shape5 and it has the same issue.
With the Joomla defaults (like protostar or beez) it won't show the modules and pages correctly at all.
So it could be something with Shape5 then. But what is it with the width of 800px ? Is that indicating anything ?

...good morning i have the same error and in google develope tool have this response:

SensorNotRequired: https://developers.google.com/maps/docu ... r-messages

The sensor parameter is no longer required for the Google Maps JavaScript API. It won't prevent the Google Maps JavaScript API from working correctly, but we recommend that you remove the sensor parameter from the script element.

my site in joomla 3.4.8
phocamap 3.0.1
phoca_plg 3.0.2
Best regards Francesco.

Hi, this is the warning, this has no influence on displaying the map of the site. It only says, there is one parameter set, which is not more used but this doesn't prevent from displaying the map as it is only a warning for developers.

Try to check your site for javascript errros.

Anyway thank you for the info, I will take a look at it.
