Help me! After disinstaller Phoca Download the site is on error and is down.

PLG_CONTENT_PHOCADOWNLOAD_PHOCA_DOWNLOAD_NOT_INSTALLED_ON_YOUR_SYSTEM

I was not able to install the component and plugin, joomla always shows an error

JInstaller: :Install: fallita copia del file /var/www/vhosts/formimpresagroup.it/httpdocs/tmp/install_570b6e4711293/site/controller.php in /var/www/vhosts/formimpresagroup.it/httpdocs/components/com_phocadownload/controller.php

Hi,

some information and questions to you:

You could try setting enabled to 0 in the xxxx_extensions table (phocadownload extension) via phpMyAdmin.
remove installation file (FTP) from: /tmp/install_570b6e4711293 except: html folder

a) which Joomla versions are you using? > due of: "var"

b) checked your site: there is no content.

c) /index.php only exists (but not active)

c) checking your site with: /html > will show you: http://formimpresagroup.it/index.html
normally there would be an error 404.

d) check your configuration.php please. e.g.
public $log_path =
public $tmp path =
but I think you have: var ....... (old version?)
e) which PHP version?

I just had the same problem today when installing plg_content_phocadownload_v3.1.2.zip. After the successful installation message I continued with trying to enable the plugin and... that's was:

An error has occurred.
PLG_CONTENT_PHOCADOWNLOAD_PHOCA_DOWNLOAD_ERROR PLG_CONTENT_PHOCADOWNLOAD_PHOCA_DOWNLOAD_NOT_INSTALLED_ON_YOUR_SYSTEM

...and my Joomla instance became unusable, neither in the backend, nor in the frontend!!
More info:
-there are no "phoca" tables in the DB
-no files were created (as indicated on the phoca.cz doc/installation issues page
-the _extensions table contains no entry for phocadownload
-Joomla version: 3.5.1
-PHP 5.4

Is there any hope for recovery ??

means, you have installed Phoca Download Plugin, but not Phoca Download Component. (The Plugin seeks the component)

Is there any hope for recovery ??

Try to disable the Plugin in the database. (e.G. with help of phpMyAdmin)
#__extensions (#_ is your table prefix)

Hello Benno,
sorry for this very,very late reply, I had/have a lot of issues related to Joomla migration 3.6.2 to solve and do not want to create any other due to new extensions to introduce. And the Phoca download seems to me to be quite delicate in handling and error-prone on installing. I spent one day to recover my site after the failed intall attempt, so I will retry the Phoca download at a later base time andon a light test system.
