Session lifetime bug?

Post by Timeforsmilin »

Hello forum!

I was working on Phoca Maps last night, as well as updating 2 other domains. I have my Joomla session lifetime set to 25 mins, as I can get distracted from one site, and if it's for longer than that, then I have to login again. I forgot to logout of the site with Phoca open to the map area of the component, and when I got up this morning and went back to it I noticed it was open. I clicked Close, expecting to get the login screen, and I hadn't been logged out automatically, as it returned me to the Phoca control panel.

I tested the site this morning with a period of inactivity, and was logged out as per the session lifetime setting. Perhaps the map area was maintaining contact with Google in anticipation of creating a new map? I believe I was open to the settings page for my map.

Cheers,
Louis

Hi, Phoca Maps component does not manage any login, when the map is displayed and you are logged in, you are logged in in Joomla! - the map does not somehow influence it

Hi Jan, I didn't think that it should, so my first thought was the security software I just installed 2 days ago, but when I left it inactive at the control panel, I was kicked out like I should be. I'll do a specific test with the map open and post what happens here.

Ok, I really don't know any function in Phoca Maps which can somehow influence it
