Uploading by FTP

I have a large number of files that I wish to load into Phoca Download Component but too many to load one at a time.

Is there a way that I can set up the categories and transfer the files by FTP.

Hi, the easiest way is to do a tree of folders, subfolders and files on your PC and the upload it to the server (in phocadownload folder). Then use the Multiple Add function (Administration - Components - Phoca Download - Files - Multiple Add) - When you select the folders in Multiple Add and click on Save, then all folders will be transformed to categories, all subfolders to subcategories and files will be created.
