Greetings Phoca Download Support,
When I click the download button the page is redirected to a page saying Access Forbidded!.Here is a copy/paste of the page:
Access forbidden!
You don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 403
localhost
Apache/2.4.10 (Win32) OpenSSL/1.0.1i PHP/5.6.3
I hace all access options set to public and I am logged in as a supperuser. Also, if I check "Direct Link = Yes" the button does not work at all, and by that I mean nothing happens when the button is clicked.
I can successfully download the zip file by creating a normal link in JCE Editor but not with Phoca Download. I have Phoca Button plugin installed but disabled in case it was interfering with the downloads.
Also, when I go to Control Panel>Downloads I can see the program is tracking my download attempts by each user I have tried and the number of times I clicked the download button but the actual download is not performed.
Here is my system info:
Database Version 5.6.21
PHP Version 5.6.3
Joomla! Version Joomla! 3.6.2 Stable
Can you help me find the solution to this problem?

Re: Download button redirects to Access Forbidden page
Hi, direct link is just standard link to another place, so does it mean, on your site the links do not work?
Where do you get the problems, in component or in plugin (in content)?
Which version of Phoca Download you are using? Can I see the site?

Hello Jan,
The Direct Link option is working fine. I was pointing to the wrong file path. However I am still getting the same problem as described above.

Re: Download button redirects to Access Forbidden page
I am using Phoca Download component version 3.1.2. Joomla version 3.6.2
My site is on xampp and I don't know if computers on the internet can access my localhost. May I suggest using Team Viewer so you can access my website as well as the site files to fix whatever problem you might find? Also you could have access the the site back end to correct any configuration errors I might have made. I can pm you the Team Viewer log on details. My time zone is GMT -5. What do you think about this?
Thanks
Thomas

I don't see any upload option here at the reply page. Can you tell me how to go about posting a screen shot here?
