Show files & allow download from page 1/category page

I want to download the files from the first page the user sees, the category page, and not be directed to a separate file page.

I tried this option:
viewtopic.php?t=13661&p=56160

We changed the parameters. This modified the file page, did not modify the categories page, and did not solve the problem.

Hi, sorry, I don't understand what you exactly mean? As default files can be download from category view:

Only when you enable "Display File View" then the file will be download after it is displayed in File View.

That option is disabled. Turning Display File View on/off seems to have no effect. No matter which setting it is on, the category page shows a folder Icon, and the number of files within the folder. Clicking on the description next to the folder brings up the separate file web page. There is no button to download files from the category page.

Do you use some specific template which overrides the component output (in our case phoca download component output)? Do you use cache?

My designer and I do not quite understand the question. We guess the answer is no as she only changed the color & size.

The template is based on Beez3. Does this help?

FYI we cleared the cache within extensions, and that did not change anything.

Hi, in Joomla! component output can be overwritten by template. Component produces some output but such can be changed by template. So depends on template if there is such part for overwriting the output of the component or not (just see Joomla! guides for getting information about how template can override the component output - to know where such overwrite parts are located in template)

Here, in category view, when I click on download, the file will be downloaded

They should see links to download all available files right there. Download all files on this page, without redirecting the user to a different page.

Reference my first post above where I wrote, "I tried this option." In the case I linked to, the person asked the identical question, but that solution did not work for me.

Hi, are there some files in category "Free Downloads" or only in the subcategories?

Files are displayed only in the category they belong to in Phoca Download.
