phoca update to latest

Hello,
I'm updating from phoca download 3.0.4 to 3.1.2 with the Joomla! extension manager.
After several minutes the joomla "loading" logo is still moving and there's no message at all.
I tried to check the version (from another page) and it updated to 3.1.2 but I don't know if everything is really ok.

The problem is, Phoca Download does not install itself but it is installed by Joomla! extension manager, so if there is a problem when installing a component in Joomla! extension manager, it is more a question on Joomla! developers

no errors in the logs of joomla or apache.

it hangs when updating from a windows server while it updates without problems with a linux server.
On windows server with apache it (probably) updates anyway even if the waiting "logo" of jomla extension manager is stuck.

Hmmm, really hard to say, I have both (linux, windows) test servers and get no such problems
