I have joomla 3.8.1 and phoca gallery 4.3.6.
Usually I created subdirectories per category.
Now I could only create the subdirectory, but not change into the new directory for uploading multiple pictures.
Do you know this behaviour? To me it is absolutely new.
Best regards,
Lilly

Re: Can't change to subdirectory
Hi,
Unfortunately I can not confirm this behavior.
Joomla! v3.8.1
Phoca Gallery v4.3.6
PHP 5.6.31
Which PHP version do you use? Has your web hosting provider recently implemented a more recent version of PHP?
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: Can't change to subdirectory
Hello,
we have PHP 7.0.24
After the move to PHP 7 Phoca was still working fine. The error occurs since the upgrade to joomla 3.8.1. But I couldn't test Phoca with Joomla 3.8.0. . It worked fine with 3.7x on PHP7

OK. Then please make the update again. (to be sure that files were not written incorrectly or incompletely)
If this does not solve the problem, try to get error messages.

Re: Can't change to subdirectory
Hello Benno,
I re-updated Phoca, but the error doesn't change. It uploaded the pictures to the new directory, but I cannot enter the directory. In Filezilla I see, that the pictures arrived...
I tried the php.ini, but without success. I've to contact our domain-provider, I guess, the php.log is written in the hidden area, I can't access.
As soon as I have news, I'll inform you, I should puplish our latest pictures - the guys are waiting for them...
Best regards,
Lilly

Re: Can't change to subdirectory
Hello Benno,
I was in contact with our hosting provider to activate error logging.
I found the error. Phoca cannot handle anymore blanks in subdirectory names. I used the name 'lehrgang 20171008'.
When creating a new directory 'lehrgang20171008', I could enter the directory for multiple picture upload.
Now I can publish the pictures for the guys.
Best regards, Lilly
