The item with "out of stock" status can be added to the cart

Hi Jan,
I set up "out of stock" status to the item and noticed I still can add it to the cart and see the item at the checkout page.
Perhaps it would be good not to display "add to cart" button for out of stock items?

Hi Jan,
I am using the latest version 3.0.3. No attributes are used, just a product with the price and "out of stock" status.
Perhaps I missed some settings... Is there a special option in global settings that need to be enabled to avoid adding "out of stock" products to the cart?

If you enable stock checking, you can add the item to cart (when the button add to cart will be displayed) but in checkout you get the information that the item cannot be ordered and you cannot go through the checkout.

Oh, I didn't know that... Thanks for the advice.
Now I found the param called Hide Add To Cart Button (Product Out Of Stock) and disabled it.
As a result, the buy button is no longer appears on a product page, but it is still available in the category (list of products).
