Filter Parent Category ID not working

Hi,
I can´t get the "Filter Parent Category ID" option in meny item with categories view to work. Have browsed the problem for hours without finding a solution.

1. Have created a parent category, child category and assigned a image to the child category.
2. Added the ID number for the parent category in the option "Filter Parent Category ID" in menu item with categories view
3. In the component settings –-> category view settings:
Display Categories in Category View --> Yes
Display Subcategories On Each Page --> All pages

But no images is shown as soon as I put the parent category ID in the "Filter Parent Category ID" option in menu item.

Anyone know how I can make this work, or another way to create different menu items with category view, showing only subcategories belonging to a specific parent category?

Hi, is the ID you add ID of parent category?

Yes, the ID was the parent category, but I event tried the ID of the child category, same result: not viewing any categories.

After trying one last time, I found that I had missed the correct place to make the changes in the parameters. Sorry, my mistake.

Here is the solution if anyone by accident to the same as me:

Component Settings –-> "Categories View" (not "Category View" where I hade made the changes) --> Under "Categories View Settings": Display Subcategories: Yes.
