In Case of the new German and Europeen Rules, it might be nessasary, to install a Checkbox (like you installed for your Guestbook) as a required tool.
Probably if its not a law yet, it will become next time.

Hi, it is really necessary? Is there not possible to add to footer confirmation box with GDPR info where you set the link to GDPR information on your site which should be confirmed - where all the information will be set (contact, ads, analytics, etc.). Anyway is really needed to have GDPR regarding maps? In case you e.g. display not personalized ads on your site, a cookie policy is enough. So what is the difference between map and non personalized ads?

Or? This sounds me like some insane action - to have checkboxes under each external item (map, like box, ads, iframes, language switcher, external comments, share buttons, ...)

At the moment, unfortunately, nobody knows that exactly. As a precaution, many have taken their websites or blogs off the net or just installed text pages. It is very unsatisfactory. I do not know it either. It would be a further level of security.
