Hi there
I'm using v3.1.2. It has worked faultlessly but am thinking of updating to the latest version (using my test site first of course!)
I can download the latest version via Joomla aAdmin but can't find the update instructions - I have many categories, subcategories and files set up and don't want to lose them all and have to set them up again.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?
Upgrading from an old version instructions?

Re: Upgrading from an old version instructions?
Hi,
1.) Make a complete backup of your Joomla! installation. (Files and DB)
2.) Download the current Phoca Download Component package.
3.) Install the package with the Joomla! installation routine.
Backend --> Extensions --> Manage --> Install -->
You will not lose any data, and if something should go wrong during the update, you have the backup to restore the initial state.
BTW: Do you use the current Joomla! version? (v3.8.10)
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: Upgrading from an old version instructions?
Thanks for the help. I have a mirror site where I do all mods and updates first and check them out for a few days, before applying them to the main site. It all worked like a charm.
