New field [Delivery date]

Hello,
We need to have a delivery date field added to the order form for the customer, and also in the e-mail received by the merchant. Our customer gets the orders but does not know when he has to deliver. https://www.lafermeagachet.ch
We tried creating a form field, but it does not work as it only appears on the customer account during creation of the account.

Hi, please let me know more details how do you use the delivery date feature?

For now, you can set e.g. the "date shipped" in options of order and such can be set in email with this variable: {dateshipped}

Hello Jan,
Unfortunately this will not work: our customer sells vegetables and fruit and delivers at home. When people order from his webshop, they need to be able to chose the delivery date, and this date also needs to appear of the order confirmation received by the merchant.
We created a customised field but it appear on the customer profile, but not on the documents.

Hi, yes, the customized fields are fields for customers not for delivery. So there can be more possible solutions:

1) to customize it completely
2) to use attribute (text) but such attribute is linked to each product, not to delivery
3) or set the date in comment at the bottom of checkout and display it with variable: {customercomment}
