Can't update Phoca Maps Content Plugin

Post by a2zcs »

Just updated Phoca Maps with no issue, tried to update the plugin and I get this error:
Warning
Copy failed: /home/hpmain/public_html/tmp/install_5b875967deaa7/phocamaps.php to /home/hpmain/public_html/plugins/content/phocamaps/phocamaps.php
JInstaller: :Install: Failed to copy file /home/hpmain/public_html/tmp/install_5b875967deaa7/phocamaps.php to /home/hpmain/public_html/plugins/content/phocamaps/phocamaps.php
Plugin Update: Could not copy files from the source.

Why would the component install/upgrade ok, but not the plugin?

Hi, I think, this is much more a question on joomla.org forum and extensions are installed by Joomla! extension manager.
Which Joomla! version do you use? Which Phoca Maps Plugin version did you install? Are permissions and ownership of folder and files properly set on your server?

Hi, try to see errorLog on your server if there is no some more detailed info ( https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-jooml ... rs-on-site ), try to enable debug mode in Joomla! configuration, maybe you get more info.

OK, Uninstall an earlier version of the plugin and it let me install the current version of 3.0.5, however it caused a white screen. Error shown with error reporting enables is:

Warning: require_once(/home/hpmain/public_html/administrator/components/com_phocamaps/helpers/phocamapsmaposm.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/hpmain/public_html/plugins/content/phocamaps/phocamaps.php on line 72

Thanks Christine!
Very odd, the phocamaps "Check for Update" tells me that 3.0.4 was the current version so it never occurred to me to go look at the site for another version. That did fix the problems.
OK, so now the "Check for Update" shows the current version to be 3.0.4 and the installed version to be 3.0.5.
Website needs to be updated, perhaps?
