Struggling noob here
Joomla 1.5.9, latest version of phoca gallery.
I have installed the gallery, i have configured lots of options and have my images and thumbnails are all setup.
What i want to do is have the gallery on the frontpage for all to see. I have been able to setup the gallery through menu links but i cant figure out how to get it there on the front page instead of an artical you have to browse to.
I found some code on the documentation while installing and tried copying and pasting this into a frontpage artical as directed and putting in the settings but when its saves, the code gets displayed, not the gallery. Ive got by brackets in and everything, and they get display as well.
Again, struggling noob here, be gental with me and thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi,
download, install and enable the Phoca Gallery Plugin. This plugin lets you display images in articles (so also in articles on the frontpage)

Ah the missing step
Now, i have created an article, pasted in the code, changed the options i needed but when i click apply and try and view the site, all i get is a white screen, no errors, just a white page.
I removed the article and it didnt fix it, so i turned off the plug-in and it did fix it...... any ideas, my changing of the code from the plug-in documentation might not have been right, thats a possibility.

Usually you see the code if it doesn't work, or you don't see any image, but you should be able to see the article and the frontpage.Merrick Tolkien wrote: my changing of the code from the plug-in documentation might not have been right, thats a possibility.
What happens if you unpublish your article and any other article using the phoca gallery plugin. If you enable the plugin, does the same (total white page) happen also?
Otherwise I think it's a clash of using tools or something like that. If you're also using other plugins or modules on the frontpage, you could try to find out which plugins 'bite' each other. (by enabling and disabling the whole stuff)

P.S. I've moved this topic to the Phoca Gallery Plugin Forum
