Hi,
I send newsletters with documents that should not be in the official public website.
How can I create a LINK to a document that is uploaded in the Phoco Download in the folder test.
The main reason to do this is to see how often the document in the LINK in the newsletter is downloaded.
Please can anybody tell me how to find the correct path.
When I put the path from Filezilla in the browser it does not work.
In Phoca Download there is also a path provided.
If I use this it also does not work from external browser.
THX Hope for help.

Ok
What is the parameter to open the link dirctly
The link shows a screen where the user has to cklick download and then open it.
Nobody in the newsletter will do it
The link must open the pdf when clicked in letter!

Re: Link in newsletter to a document in Phoca Download
Hi, for now there is no direct link for protected files, this feature works the same way e.g. like by dropbox or google drive, you have the link and it will be downloaded after clicking on download button.
You can open direct links (depends on users browser settings if they will be downloaded or opened) but such links cannot be protected behind public_html folder.
So if you need that the users will open the file directly, add direct link to the newsletter but such direct links must go to files which are stored inside public_html folder.

The path to the pdf is:
Root/images/Server/ ***.pdf
Can you pls tel me the link to copy in Newsletter
But how should phoca know this file?
Where can I find the phoca folder?
Is it possible to put there a folder named Server with filezilla and put the file there?
What would be the link to put in newsletter?

Hi, if you want to make direct link to files on your server, it has nothing todo with Phoca Download.
If you file is located here:
Root/images/Server/ ***.pdf
then your direct link is h t t p s : //your-site . com/images/Server/***.pdf
Which phoca folder do you mean? If you use Phoca Download and files for Phoca Download, they are stores in root/phocadownload/ or root/phocadownloadpap folder and you can add there any sufolder you need:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/17-phoca ... ng-folders
