Worldpay Payment Plugin

Hi

After looking at many cart solutions (and I mean, a lot!) it appears that Phoca Cart is the best option for my client base.

It works great with gantry 5 - my framework of choice now
Clean output code
Simple to set up and learn - this is important for the customer too
Great import and export facilities
Great reporting tools
POS option - outstanding
Support is very impressive, especially from a small team.

My only real concern is the lack of payment plugin methods. This is not a criticism, only an observation.

Would you be open to working on more payment plugins? Worldpay and Barclaycard are two of the more popular choices here in the UK.

Or, do you work with any other Joomla extension developers that would offer this?

Hi, for now I am focusing more on core development than on the plugins. There are some basic and some specific plugins for each countries. For example in Russia, Norrnext creates most of the russian payment plugins.

If there is some specific national payment gateway, mostly I am not able to create it (because of lacking of knowledge about the national conditions) but I am able to cooperate when developing such plugin. And of course I am open to work on more payment plugins.

Mostly the best method is to ask developer who made such plugin for another component if he/she is able to do it for Phoca Cart (as this can be the fastest way to do such plugin)

No problem, it is understandable that you are working on core functions. In fact I welcome this because it would be great to see Phoca Cart grow.
Currently the only Joomla store software packages that really compete are J2Store and Joomshopping. If Phoca Cart could become to Joomla what Woocommerce is to Wordpress that would be fantastic.
Unfortunately I have lost faith in Virtuemart, it is too difficult for end customers to learn.
I *almost* considered converting to Wordpress for Woocommerce but just don't want to work with WP, it's ok but I have worked with Joomla for too long I think!

Just a suggestion but a Product Image Zoom would be very helpful and for POS (excellent addon) I would suggest a discount facility like this one

The prices can be edited to allow fixed %ge discount or direct input of product price override.

This function, I believe would make Phoca Cart POS an even more powerful tool by far.
