Discount only from a few categories

Hello from Olten Switzerland
We establish a eShop for natural Swiss Ice Cream here.
45 Ice Cream flavors by the scoop.
One category with 5 subcategories are Ice Creams for discounts,
plus other categories without discounts.

From all Ice Cream categories, all 45 flavors, ordering minimum 12 scoops or more we discount 30% on the scoops (items).
But no discount on other items in other categories.

Discount goes per items (scoops).
But now also items from other categories count into the 12 minimum required items.
This can lead now to ordering 2 scoops of Ice Cream and 10 x other items at o.oo price and allows 30% on the two scoops.

What settings we have to make to avoid this problem please?

Hi, I don't fully understand the situation. In Phoca Cart there is no discount for categories but for whole cart of for each item.

Can you describe it more with details (e.g. screenshots)

The discount goes only beginning from 12 items on of discounted products.

However the count for the 12 also counts items who are not allowed for discount.
These items only count for the requires 12, but are not discounted themselves correctly.

So giving discount for 3 different scoops instead of minimum 12 scoops
The remaining 9 items only participate in the count for the required minimum of 12 items.
Giving discount on only 3 items instead of minimum 12 items in the Ice Cream category.
The other items come from other categories.

How can I ad a screenshot here?

Can you paste a screenshot of the discount rules which you are using?



If you are using cart discount, the minimum quantity is not assigned to one product only as there is no selection of the product. It is just a sale you get when you buy some amunt of products independent to each other. It is just about the amount of all products in the cart.
