Phoca Pos - Advanced stock management

Hello,

using POS (despite other issue) it works as long as stock management is on main product or on variants.
as soon as i use advanced stock managent i can sellect the product but as soon you want to checkout
error, product or selected variant not available..

same issue on webshop.
when i use advanced stock managend.. i can select to product (variant with correct stock level).
but when i want to do checkout i get error. selected product was not available or not selected.

i will take screenshots and post them..
it works until final checkout.. processing order failed..

i was busy making screenshots.. getting strange / other / unexpected results.
i thinks something is wrong in settings.. now its also processing checkout even when there is no stock.
settings stock checkout is enabled so, customer schould not be able to checkout..

perhaps some conflicting settings / multiple stocks etc..
Ik will delete the product and start al over.
for reference.. what i need / expact ..
main product T-shirt
no stock amount, stock based on attribute
-attribute 1 select
required YES
Title Size
size S
size L
size XL

-attribute 2 select
Title color
Blue
Yellow
Red

safe and publish. because there are no variants with stock i expact that the shop is not showing product.
next. enter stock amount in attribute (Size and color
first option 10
second option 0
third option 20

now i should expact the product to show because stock is available.
on product page i can only select options that are in stock (this case Size S, Size XL, Color Blue, Color Yellow

now edit product. stock management, set stock management to advanced.
save, and open advanded stock management. From that point for stock i would / should always use advanced stock management.
i should expact that stock field in main item and variant wil be empty and unable to fil.
Currently you can set every stock on every level.

@jan: can you define step by step to create and define product with advanced stock management.
is it correct that i need to have the main product stock set to 1, otherwise the product does not show.
hide product out of stock apparently only looks at main product stock level.
stock changes is done at the level defined (this case variant).

or do you want to have a look to see whats going on?.. sent me PM...

see screenshots.. complete confused.. i don't understand whats wrong..
for your info.. i have set hide products out of stock to NO for now.
otherwise i don't see the product.
only way to get the product fisable is to set main product stock on 1 (with setting hide product out of stock).

Hi, if I see the data right on the screenshot, I see that the ordered product has 8 items on stock but in cart there are 10, so it is not possible to order 10 when there are only 8 on stock

If you use advanced stock management, then it is possible that main product in fact does not exist (e.g. tshirt without color or size), so in such case you can prevent from adding the main product to cart (e.g. select boxes of attributes get no "select option" value), see parameter: Remove Select Option (Attribute)

Hello Jan, thnx for the explanation.
but in this case for some reason checkout process will proceed and accept order.
is it correct that i have to set the main product stock on 1 or more.
it is not logical, but that is the only way i am seeing the product in the frontend.
i have the option hide products out of stock enabled. Should it read the attribute stock and / or advanced stock management stock?
products that are out of stock (completely) should not be shown in the webshop frontend.
perhaps thats why i am getting strange results.

in other words. is stock value on
main product, on attributes and with advanced stock management ignored and its looking only for stock amount based on the stock control setting? is it just confusing or should other stock amount be empty or 0 in all cases.
if you need to have only one stock amount on the right level (most logical).. then see a issue with that (setting hide products out of stock. i think that option only looks at main stock and not at atribibute / advanced). Perhaps thats why order is still gettings procesed bacause of stock on several levels.. (i ill try to test this.. but then i need to disable the option hide products out of stock).

for some reason a previous post was removed / not saved.
i did testing with serveral options.
stock check enabled
allow negative stock (disabled)
stock check on order, cart and checkout

#1 stock amount in main product

stock in main product: 0
stock amount in attributes: 10

#3 stock amount in advanced stock management
stock in main product: 0
stock amount in attributes: 0
stock amount in advanced: 10

#1. amount is shown

add to cart is hidden if stock is 0

current situation in the shop. only stock on main product is stable working.
i can not believe this is a bug / not working in phoca cart. but i am unable to trace why this happends.
go-live is plannend end of this week.. sorry starting to get wurried...

i am happy to arrange admin access to the site if needed..
