Protect folders from unpaid direct access

Hello,

I am using Phoca Download in combination with Pay Per Download. Inside of Joomla it works very well to provide paid access to pdf files. Now I realised that there is also a way to get a free and unpaid access to my valuable pdf files. This is the case when somebody knows or finds the direct path to the folder where my pdf files are stored.

Is there a way to restrict this unpaid direct access to my pdf files while keeping the paid access through Pay Per Download?

Thank you, this was the right solution. My server path is quite different. But in the end I could figure it out and make it work.
