Guestbook 4.0.0. Unregistered user can't post a message

It is not possible to post a message in the guestbook 4.0.0 for an unregistered visitor, even though this is set as possible in the backend.
Disabling user validation is set to yes.
Frontend continues to indicate that you must be logged in to post a message.
Installed joomla 4.1.2 php 7.4.23

I have changed the solutions mentioned in the documentation, but it still doesnt work.
It is not possible to create posts, it comes with the message that only registered users can post.

Hi,
go to and set:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Guestbook --> Guestbooks --> Your guestbook for which you want to set public access --> Permissions --> Post Items=Allowed
Save & Close

BTW: current version is 4.0.1

I have done something different:
I deinstalled Phoca Guestbook and reinstalled it.
Then I created the different categories and changed the permissions.
It worked fine.

Then I selected easycalc as captcha; resulting in a page-not-found.
Deselcted easycalc and selected standard captcha, page was good.
What good be wrong here?
