Product options as differents SKUs?

My question is regarding products - is it possible in Phoca Cart to work with product options (for example color) the same way as Amazon etc do:

you see product (https://www.amazon.de/SMILODOX-Conner-M ... 0B6CSJ3BZ/), click color Yellow, page changes to https://www.amazon.de/SMILODOX-Conner-M ... B0B6CTRHBW, but client think it's the same product but with different SKU and photos...

As I see now in Phoca Cart option has the same SKU, the same description, the same photos as original product?

Hi, there is no switch to another product, but you can set Advanced stock management. There all product variant will have own SKU, own stock and it can have own page too (main product url will bee different after #), see:

See even the options, you can set that wen changing the attributes, then stock, price, image, SKU, URL will be changed too.



The screenshot is from obsolete version, it displays changing of stock and price, now you can change image, sku and url too.

dear Jan, just checked this Advanced stock management feature... really good... but: only one image is available for option? for example, original product has image and few additional images, is it possible to change additional images too regarding choosed option?

Hi, for now, there is only one image set because when changing the image with ajax, only this is changed. I can take a look at it but the problem will be with adding addtional image subform into this subform. The question is, if you need in fact all form inputs like original product has, if it is not better to make all the product combinations like separate products And make all the same products as related products.

Yeah, I'm trying to choose what's better... I just would like to do something as Amazon do - search results show you the ONE product you need, and you can choose for example GREEN one when press on color selector - and page show all info and photos for GREEN version of product... then you press RED - and page changes again. Interesting which technology Amazon use to do it - product options changes very quickly, and visitor will never note that SKU (URL) changes, but for sure he will see new photos for new color.

I even had an idea to try make product as category and options as products in this category... but I still in thoughts )

Maybe Phoca Cart has a kind of plugin to choose different kinds of products the same way as options, but for really various SKUs - a kind of selector, where you can add related pruducts and use all kinds of selectors.

Hi, unfortunately, there is no such option so when user select attribute it will automatically switch to another product (related to this product)
