Phoca Cart Filter autoselect category from subcategory

Hey there,
I've got a question.
Lets say my categories in PhocaCart look like this:

Category 1
-> Subcategory 1
Category 2
-> Subcategory 2

And my product, for example Product 1 is set to display in Subcategory 1.

Now if i select from the Filter box Subcategory 1, i see Product 1. But if i select just Category 1, i dont see Product 1, i have to select the Subcategory 1 aswell.
Now i know that i could add Category 1 as a category for the product, but i already have ~300 products published.

I've looked inside the settings, but cant seem to find a solution. Am i missing something?

Hi, yes, if the product is located in Subcategory 1 then it is not displayed in any other category even it is parent category. The principle is the same like if someone ask me how old is my daugther and I will reply her age (I don't add her age and my age together because I am parent of her).

But of course if the logic of eshop needs such behaviour, you can enable it in optons: Display Products from all Subcategories:
