Set specific folder for category

I have a rather small user group, but totally unexperienced with web applications. Therefore I need to make the file management as foolproof as possible. That includes organizing files in the right directories. Unfortunately PD does not seem to have an option to sync categories and folders. What I would need is to specify already a folder for a category. If a user uploads a file, it is then automatically put in the right folder (also forced, i.e. no option to select a different folder). Is this possible or planned?
(btw same would be beneficial for Phoca Gallery - I am currently using another component just because of this missing sync. Although I really like the Phoca products.)

Hi, see similar posts in this forum. Phoca Gallery and Phoca Download do have independent database and filesystem layer. In short category is not equal folder. This has some reasons and benefits (see more info in different forum topics). So for now the only way is to customize it directly in the code
