Sugestion: Limit categories for custom fields

All products usually need specifications. I am building a shop for mountaineering equipment (clothes, backpacks, boots, etc.). I need filters and this is very easy with parameters. But I also need specs and those are hard for an admin to use since he can't have pre-built specs lists. On the contrary, it is ideal to have custom fields (lists or checkboxes) where the admin can easily choose what he wants. BUT you can't limit custom fields to specific categories, so they're essentially useless because you don't want all fields to appear in all categories.So if you can limit the fields to specific categories that would be a big plus.

Hi, thank you for this idea. Not sure if this will be possible with custom fields which are Joomla core feature. Anyway, added to feature request list.
