Some bugs ?

Post by tk5ep »

Hi,

First of all, i find your component really fine !

I have a small problem :
When setting "Most Viewed Documents Number" in parameters to anything else than the default value(5) i doesn't change anything...
I don't want to display this most viewed documents.... So i thought setting it to 0 would do the job ?

Jan, i want to help you in translating the files in french, but i have a doubt. I could't find how to make the "Article Itemid " work, so i have no idea how to translate :
"Set Article Itemid (Itemid of menu link to articles) in case you want Phoca Documentation will create links to articles with this Itemid"

Can you explain me how this works ?

Anything else is OK.

Thanks,

Hi, for the next version I am going to add new parameter (like in Phoca Download) where you will be able to disable most viewed documents...

Itemid - This means: Phoca Documenation doesn't display articles, it only display sections and categories and list of articles. The article itself is displayed by com_content component in Joomla! In Joomla!, all menu links have Itemid and this Itemid is important for creating SEF links... So if you set specific Itemid here all links which are created in Phoca Documenation will have the SEF adress of this menu link...

Let's say, we have a link to list of articles with Itemid = 2. It means that the Itemid = 2. This menu link has alias = articles... So your site will display this link in your menu: w ww.your_site.com/articles ... And you want, your links which are created by Phoca Documentation will have the same url, e.g. w ww.your_site.com/articles/1-first-article.html ... If you don't set the Itemid, then your link will have this url: w ww.your_site.com/components/phocadownload/1-first-article.html...

So setting Itemid means to have still the same URL for the same articles on your Joomla! site. (in every component: com_phocadownload, com_content)
