I can't get working FILTER MODULE with categories

Hello!
I can't get working FILTER CATEGORIES properly:
all products are shown, without relation with selected categories...
So, i tried to remove some parent category from product, but in this way i cannot show anymore this product...

I searched for FILTER documentation but nothing important to notice... in fact, its operation is quite obvious.

I'm missing some setting? What am I doing wrong?

This took me a while to wrap my head around.

Make sure you're menu item is Phoca Cart » Category View (Product list layout) - Select your Template, Then also make sure you're not using this on your main page unless you want all your selections to be brought back to your home page, Example search, filter. Even when I had a seperate product page if I had this menu item on the front page it would always revert back to the home page. Fixed this by using only modules to display on front page.

Thank you Neptoon, but i can't make filters working...

I was using PRODUCTS VIEW (Product list layout) menu item selecting every category, using a specific GANTRY template outline (like a child theme) configured and used only for shop pages, and putting my filter module on left column.

I tried to switch to CATEGORY VIEW (Product list layout) menu item, and same config for template and filter module, but the filter won't works with the category (with other parameters, like attributes it works well!).

What am I wrong about?

Hi, can I see the page where this occurs? Which version of Phoca Cart do you use?
