Hi, no, user can be published and actived even he/she does not have any account on the site. Usually, user is active when he/she confirm the newsletter email.

Thank you for the replies. I will try to explain the situation in this post.

I am using another form component (I don't want to have different forms) and I have no direct connection, therefore I have a field in the form "I am interested in the newsletter". The user has to commit the privacy policy. I will get the mail from the form and see that he is interested in the newsletter.
Now I will add the user manually in the subscriber list. I have now no chance to get the switch "Datenschutz-Bestätigung" to true. I have to activate the user to have the chance to send a spezial activation newsletter. If i click now to the activation link in the mail, I will be asked to log-In. Is there a switch in the configuration? or I will get the message "Warnung
Die Sitzung ist abgelaufen, bitte erneut anmelden.". I don't know why.

The description of the mail options, you mentioned, are the newsletter options. I think it is not possible to use {activationlink} in the normal mail, because the "link" to the subscriber list is missing.

I hope you are understanding my problem(s) better.

Hi, if you use another extension, then you need to build some connection between them. E.g. if another extension is active, it needs to access the newsletter database tables and change the data there.

Activation link - is this activation link from Phoca Newsletter component? There is no need to be logged in to activate the newsletter

I was sending a Newsletter to two subscribers, only with the two links:

This will create the mails with the links:

Can you paste a screenshot of the message here? Are you sure, it is Phoca Email message? Is there no another system on your site which needs login?

Usually, the links work per token and don't need any login (in fact having login in this case does not make any sense):

You will get the same message, if you are clicking on the links in my message. If I log in with my joomla passwort, I will get the same messages like you.

But the question still remains. Which part of the system runs the need of login. Usually, Phoca Email component does not require login because it just use token links - in fact this is the default option - to access it without login need - as mostly login is not required).

So for example, what about menu link to Phoca Email (Newsletter)? It is not protected by access rules?
