Hi Jan,
In Jomla 4.2.9, I installed Phoca Gallery 4.5.0 and Phoca Gallery Image Module 4.4.0
The "Class 'JRequest' not found" error generated by the mod_phocagallery_image module still exists. Two years after the opening of this post, I guess the fix for Joomla!4 is underway!? Is the availability planned for the next few months?

@KarlaHerrera,
why the default J3 search com_search was removed from J4 is more a question to the Joomla! core developers.
The Phoca Download Finder Plugins will work with the J4 Smart Search Component com_finder only, when they are activated and the content is indexed.
