On "Assign Tax (Customer has valid EU VAT ID and is based in different EU country than the vendor)" it won't assign the selected tax as desired:
https://ibb.co/2cnKcHf
https://ibb.co/BqH8pnX
and finally it won't assign new tax:
https://ibb.co/HdZqZz0
but "Change (Cancel) Tax (Customer has valid EU VAT ID and is based in different EU country than the vendor)" is working properly
https://ibb.co/qyKGnX8

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Hi, you can assign the base tax which is set in taxes. What value has the Zero IVA as base tax (not selected for country)? Did you try to retest it with another customer as the info about the tax can stay stored for current customer (if you have tested it for this customer previously).

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Here the main ZERO IVA value: https://ibb.co/jbgbhT1
The value is 0%.
I tried also to clear J4 cache and clear browser cache and cookies, but it still remain 4% instead 0%

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Situation: Customer with valid VAT but based in different country than the vendor
Without using CANCEL TAX i get the correct name (MwSt) but wrong value (4% instead 0%)
https://ibb.co/vhCnHd2
Using CANCEL TAX i get wrong name (Zero IVA instead MwSt) but correct value 0%
https://ibb.co/CBH0bYg
Also, using CANCEL TAX, in PRODUCT view it show the correct value of ZERO IVA, but wont load name/alias of german VAT (MwST)
https://ibb.co/NT89k26
Keep in mind that ZERO IVA has 0% in country VAT setup.

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Hi, try to use the latest Beta:
https://github.com/PhocaCz/PhocaCart/re ... 8Beta6.zip
Do you get the same results? I am testing it now, see no problem with it.

If you select IVA then the IVA will be forced, no its equivalent.Using CANCEL TAX i get wrong name (Zero IVA instead MwSt) but correct value 0%

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Apparently Nothing Has Changed Jan.
This is what happens in this condition: Customer has valid EU VAT ID and is based in different EU country than the vendor:
- if enable (only) CANCEL TAX he completely removes the entry (OK)
- if I select (only) ASSIGN TAX -> ZERO IVA I expect it to display MwSt with the value of ZERO IVA, ie 0%; instead it displays 4%, which is not 0% of ZERO IVA due to how I set it
I'm trying to use this last option. Because for VAT registered customers who are not in my country: they would see the name of the VAT in their language, for example in germany MwSt, and at the same time the value 0% of ZERO VAT which would be my tax setting for companies that they are not in the same country.
But at the moment I only see MwSt, and the tax remains at 4% which is the default set in the product.
----------------
The third option would be (both) CANCEL TAX + ASSIGN TAX which I don't know what could generate and what it could be used for, but in this case it displays the name/label "ZERO IVA" (instead it should be the equivalent German name: "MwSt") but with the correct percentage of ZERO IVA which is 0%

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Hi, maybe I start to understand the problem.
You always need to enable the parameter: Change (Cancel) Tax (Customer has valid EU VAT ID and is based in different EU country than the vendor)
The "Change" and "Cancel" has different meaning
a) if you select some value in parameter Assign Tax (Customer has valid EU VAT ID and is based in different EU country than the vendor) then the VAT will be changed
b) if you don't select anything then the VAT will be just cancelled
And as written above, it display the selected VAT, not the one which can be assigned to country (I will take a look at it to maybe add this as option).

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Try to download version 4.0.8 of the Phoca Cart Tax - VIES VAT Number Validation Plugin
https://www.phoca.cz/download/99-phoca- ... s?start=40
There is new parameter: Apply Dynamic Tax Rate
If you enable it, then even selected VAT can be dynamically changed to country or region VAT:
Example:
Disabled:
Enabled:
Please test and let me know if it works OK.
Thank you, Jan

Re: Not properly working ASSIGN TAX?
Works great Jan! Solved!
Perfect: in this way the buyer sees the VAT abbreviation correctly in his own language!
Thank you very much Jan!
(a question: how can i insert directly image in my posts here in the forum?)
