digital and physical Products

Can someone give me a hint how to handle it, if I have only physical products and also physical/digital products.
Could it be handled by atributes?
So if I have a product Flyer as print version (= physical product) and also a digital version to download.
So the physical product has a limit in stock and the digital version not (infinite stock). It is possible to enter a value as infinite stock? Will the basket button (show or not by quantity of stock) affected? It must always visible also if physical product is sold out because the digital download must always possible.
I dont want to link the download with the open/free download link, because there is no control about the quantity of downloads and the customer information who download the product.

such can be managed by stock but it even have the option to download if after purchase.
