Paypal standard not working

Post by stuffdone »

Setting up new install. J4

Paypal settings no place to input API or user. Only PayPal email.

The plug in says order submitted and it creates a local copy of order but does not process any payments.

Do I need a different plugin to process via PayPal? I simply cannot find any place to input the data PayPal expects of a payment form

Also no emails are sent to let anyone know order placed and no way customer view orders placed.

The plugin does not work.

It is set up. It does not work. No amount is added to PayPal even when it's in cart. It does not communicate with PayPal.

Kind regards,

That is just a link to instructions. It has zero information on how to make it function...I have set up per those instructions. The topic of my post is specific. IT DOES NOT WORK

Hi, not sure what do you expect from the plugin, but it works the following way:

- User in checkout select the payment method - PayPal and makes the order
- Then the site is redirected to PayPal websites and user will log in and make the payment
- Then users is redirected back to the page - to thank you page
- In between PayPal server contacts the seller's server and sends the information about the payment (e.g. to change the order status automatically).

So the question is, in which of these mentioned steps you get the problem?
