Hi
With Joomla 3.10.12 + PhocaGalery 4.4.3 I can't generate thumbnails anymore.
I can upload the image. The FTP shows me that the image is correctly saved on /httpdocs/images/phocagallery but there is no news thubnail in /httpdocs/images/phocagallery/thumbs
There is no error message
We use PHP 7.4.33 with memory_limit set to 1G
What would I forget please?
thanks

Re: No thumbnail generation
Hi,
check if 'Enable Thumbnails Generation' parameter is set to 'Yes' in: backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Thumbnails Generation Settings --> Thumbnails
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: No thumbnail generation
Thanks
When this setting is ON I get the error :
Error - thumbnail of one or more images could not be created. It was probably caused by a lack of memory (the server does not have enough memory or the image is too large). Go to Options and disable Thumbnails Generation. Remove images which are too large from your server and try to enable Thumbnails Generation again. Get more information about this issue on Phoca documentation site.
However we use PHP 7.4.33 with memory_limit set to 1G <- is that not enough ??
What would I forget please?
thanks

Re: No thumbnail generation
Hi,
1G is too high. Normally: 128MB or default usually 256MB.
I'm guessing that you want to take a lot of pictures at once (thumbs generation).
Backend setting:
Options > Thumbnail > Pagination Thumbnails Generation > Yes. Plus what Benno described.
Upload images by category - not all at once!
So: Images > Select category > Multiple Add ...
Why do you still have PHP 7.4? (not supported)
You should remember to migrate to Joomla 4 and of course the gallery.
Kind regards
Christine
