PhocaCart: Selection of categories

I would like to work with two main categories and 12 subcategories under each. Only one main category should be offered on one store page - the second main category should then be offered on the other store page. It should also be possible to select more than one sub-category at the same time when searching.

Is this feasible? And if so, how should I proceed? It's really not clear to me at the moment.

Which store page and other store page you exactly mean? How they are different?

When search or filtering (see filter module) you can filter more categories/subcategories at them, it is just standard filter where different parameters in filter can be used (even more selected categories), see example:

In Phoca Cart, you can set even type for category, so it can be somehow differentiated in system, but not sure if this is someone which fit your needs?

Thank you for your reply. I think the solution on https://www.phoca.cz/jtd/ shows pretty clearly how this should work.

We have two areas:
- Jobs
- Candidates
in a total of 12 categories. If jobs and candidates are the main categories, then we only want to show their subcategories on the "Jobs" website and only the others on the "Candidates" website - even if the subcategories are identical.

We currently have the data (still without a store) on https://www.humantopclass.ch/stellen and https://www.humantopclass.ch/kandidaten respectively.

Where can we find the tutorials so that we can link the various modules correctly and display them properly? Especially the selection of the (sub)categories!

But really no idea, if the standard category system (it is just standard Joomla category system plus in Phoca Cart one item can be in more categories, plus in Phoca Cart, the category can be divided into more groups (to e.g. have listed only specific categories on specific place).
