Joomla 4.3.3
PHP 8.0.30
Phoca Download 4.0.6
---
I installed "Phoca Download Finder Plugin".
When I run the "Index" function of Smart Search (Joomla Core), only a part of the documents present in Phoca Download are indexed.
What could be the cause?
Thanks for any help.
Maurizio

Hi,
Can you recognize a pattern as to which documents are indexed and which are not? Or is this completely arbitrary?
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: Problem indexing with Pocha Download Finder Plugin
The categories seem to be all there.
The problem is with the files, and it seems completely random.
For example in a category there are 4 files, but only the first one is indexed.
In another category, 8 files, but only one is indexed.
In another category, 4 files, but only two are indexed.
In some category all files are indexed,
Kind regards,
Maurizio

Of course yes.
Smart Search works well for Joomla core articles, categories, tags, etc.
Only Phoca download files are badly indexed.
Best regards,
Maurizio

Re: Problem indexing with Pocha Download Finder Plugin
Hi,
Unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem. I use 106 files in 81 Phoca Download categories on my site and exactly this number is found and displayed in the index. But all files have the same file extension (.zip) Do you use files with different file extensions, so I can test it?
Did you try to run the index again and if yes any changes then?
Joomla v5.0.1
PHP v8.2.18
Phoca Download v5.0.2
Phoca Download Finder Plugin (Files) v4.0.2
Phoca Download Finder Plugin (Categories) v4.0.2
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: Problem indexing with Pocha Download Finder Plugin
I have about 700 files and about 80 categories. About 90% are pdf, 9% are zip and then I have some doc and docx.
The missing files are all pdfs.
I found a possible workaround...
I use Smart Search for searches on Joomla core documents (articles and so on), and "old" classical search for searches on Phoca Download files.
In this way it seems that all Phoca Download files are searchable.
I will continue to investigate to understand the problem, and I will let you know if I discover anything, but for the moment this workaround is satisfactory for me.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Maurizio

Hello!
I have the same problem!
Please let me know, if there is a solution.
I don´t want to implement 2 search fields.
Best regards

Re: Problem indexing with Pocha Download Finder Plugin
Hello.
Does indexing work? I just installed a Phoca Download on a new site and manual indexing causes an error when at least one of the both Phoca Finder plugins is enabled.
If that's not the same problem, I'll open another subject.

@AlainR,
please activate the Joomla Debug-Mode and set Error Reporting=Maximum to get a detailed error message (Call Stack)
Take a screenshot and post it here.
Also:
Which Joomla! version are you using?
Which Phoca Download Component version are you using?
Which versions of the Phoca Download Finder plugins are you using?
Which PHP version are you using?
Kind regards,
Benno
