No Meta Description from Category in "Category view"

I have added meta description too all categorires I have in Phoca Cart. If I create a menu item Category View (Product list layout) to one of these categories it ignores the meta data. I have to add "another meta data" to the menu item.

It would be good with some if statement here. If meta description is empty then take the one in Phoca Cart. Or else I have to add the meta description to multiple places.

Go to Phoca Cart > Categories
Select desired category, click on Metadata tab
